Governors Charging and Remissions Policy.
The Governors have agreed that a voluntary contribution may be requested towards the costs involved in providing enrichment activities for the children, both within school and outside of school, and that should contributions not be forthcoming then such activities may not occur. Where funds permit, an allocation is made within the school budget or Lakes Private Fund to subsidise all or part of the costs of some activities or individual pupil costs.
Likewise, educational visits and visitors to Lakes School may be subsidised in whole or part from the Lakes Private Fund and/or the School Budget Share. Lakes Private Fund monies are raised by parents and staff through social events, sponsored events, the Christmas or Summer Fayre, photograph sales, raffles and cake sales in school. Funds raised are for books, curriculum resources, ICT and for Christmas celebrations, etc in addition to the above stated educational activities. New books are also acquired as commission from School Book Fairs and Book Club purchases.
