At Lakes Primary School, we have been working very hard to produce a curriculum which not only meets, but enhances the requirements of the new National Curriculum.

Coronavirus Updates - School Closure January 2021

Following the announcement this evening (4th January 2021) by the Government we are once again in a National lockdown and schools are closed until mid February 2021.

School REMAINS OPEN for vulnerable children and key worker children should you wish for them to attend – please see definitions below:

Vulnerable children:  Any child whose family is working with social care or early help, any child who has an EHCP, any child in the process of an EHCP, any child who is ‘looked after’, any child considered a ‘young carer’ and any child who is struggling with anxiety who would be better placed at school during this time.

Key workers: Parents/Carers who work in:- health and social care; Education and childcare settings; public services; local and national government; food and other necessary goods; public safety and national security; transport and border infrastructure; utilities, communication and financial services.

If this applies to you, your children are still able to attend school. Please bring them as usual at the same time, to the same door as normal tomorrow. You will be asked to complete a form as a record of your eligibility if you are claiming ‘key worker’ status.
